Starting in 2024, Atlantis can be used to view and settle cleared, reported, off-exchange/OTC blocks. These block transactions are not given-up, but 'reported' directly to an end account.
FIA Tech sources this data (where available) from exchange feeds (currently only ICE Block) and when not available, directly from Receivers.
These non-given up, reported blocks can be identified by their SubAssetClass and/or TradingVenue in Atlantis. Please read the below article for more information.
NOTE: FIA Tech also receives block trades that are given-up and cleared at the exchange in our standard ETD trade feeds. These given-up blocks are categorized under the Sub Asset Class "ETD" in Atlantis, and will continue to match to GUAs and settle as such in Atlantis.
SubAssetClass
SubAssetClass is present as an external filter and aggregation within the Summary screen. By selecting "BLOCKS", you can easily separate out BLOCKS trades from ETD & USLO trades by using this filter prior to loading the grid.
Trading Venue
TradingVenue is an aggregation in Atlantis which displays how a trade was executed.
Connected Market feeds: Our connected market feed for Blocks (ICE) does not include SubAssetClass as an attribute as this is an Atlantis concept. As a result, logic has been built to stamp TradingVenue with "BLOCK" to drive SubAssetClass population. If another value is already present in TradingVenue then the data in Atlantis will display with the relevant Alphabetical prefix + a semi-colon [;]. Example: X;BLOCK or E;BLOCK
Broker supplied feeds: For Non-connected market Block activity, the source participant must include SubAssetClass = 'Blocks' and/or TradingVenue = 'BLOCK'. If it's a Clearport Block then the TradingVenue should be X;BLOCK for fee calculation purposes
NOTE: TradingVenue & SubAssetClass are available attributes in the Enhanced Daily Trade reports as well as the Daily Digest & EOC/Final reports.
SubAssetClass will be populated through the enhanced Daily Digest (and via the Enhanced Daily Trade reports) post participant opt-in in Q2 2025 (Final changes being made by FIA Tech dev for the Enhanced schema before opt-in is available). You can learn more about these reports here.
