To add a controller profile that is managed by another firm you'll need to use one of the following options:
1. Create a profile representing the controller yourself (duplicate profiles are actually not much of a problem in the system).
2. Permission the appropriate Reporting Entity and then reach out to the Reporting Entity with the OCR profile ID of your owner profile and ask that they join it to the controller profile at the account level.
3. Request that the other firm check off the 3rd party controller box on the controller profile. A 3rd Party Controller is a Legal Entity acting as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) on behalf of a fund or account for a Commodity Pool Operator, Investment Advisor, or other Owner. Selecting this option will make certain portions of the 3rd Party Controller’s Legal Entity Profile visible to all OCR users. Please Note: This box should only be checked if applicable to the specific legal entity in the profile and checking the 3rd party controller box permissions everyone in the system to view the Legal Entity info, but it does NOT permission the Natural Person/Main Contact info. The Main Contact info may look blank to the user at the other firm even if thit section is complete. While the Main Contact info may look blank to a another buyside user any reporting firm that is permissioned will be able to see all info including the main contact.
