Overview
This article provides an overview of the Dashboard settings. For an introduction to the Accelerate Dashboard, please see the Introduction to the Accelerate Dashboard article. All the actions described in this article can be accessed through the Actions menu in the top right hand of the Dashboard.
Selecting Widgets
While any widget can be removed or copied from the Dashboard through the individual widget menus. The only way to add a new widget through the Dashboard is by selecting the "Add / Remove Widgets" option in the Actions menu.
Once this option is selected, the widget selector will open. While this selector is open, the other settings and portions of the Dashboard cannot be accessed. Please note that any change you make will apply only to the current Dashboard.
From the Widget selector you will be able to see all the widgets available to you as a user. These will depend on which applications you have access to. To add a widget to the Dashboard, simply select the green plus sign. To remove one, select the red minus sign. To add multiple copies of the same widget, simply select the add action multiple times for the widget you wish to add.
The widget selector will allow you to add up to 20 widgets to your Dashboard.
Selecting "Save" will save the selections and update your Dashboard with the chosen widgets. You can then move the individual widgets around to suit your needs.
Managing Multiple Dashboards
Each user can have up to 20 Dashboards at any given time. Upon login, the system will automatically display the Dashboard selected as Primary to the user. To toggle between Dashboards, select the name of the Dashboard you wish to view in the top left hand corner.
Create a New Dashboard
There are various ways to create a new Dashboard. You can start with a blank slate by selecting "Create New Dashboard" from the Actions menu. This will create a Dashboard with no widgets selected. You can also choose to Copy the existing Dashboard in order to create a new one. To do so, simply select "Copy Dashboard" from the Actions menu. In both cases you will need to name the new Dashboard.
Editing your Available Dashboards
Through the "Dashboard Settings" page you can manage all your Dashboards. This page is accessed by selecting "Dashboard Settings" in the Actions menu.
From the Settings page, multiple actions are available. You can choose to create a brand new Dashboard as well as manage your existing ones. In the first column, you can select which Dashboard you want as your Primary. Only one Dashboard can be selected as Primary at any one time. The rightmost column shows the actions available for each Dashboard. You can rename the Dashboard, copy it to create a new one, or delete it. All Dashboards except the Primary Dashboard can be deleted.
To manage the content available in each of your Dashboards access each of them directly and follow the workflow previously described to edit the content on each Dashboard.
