The “Share View” button in Atlantis is a simple and easy way to share specific trade searches with other Atlantis users internally and externally. It can be found on the Atlantis Summary page.
Why is this button helpful?
With dozens of filters and aggregation combinations available within Atlantis, it can be difficult for two Atlantis users to reach the same results on their own. If you have found the perfect filter and aggregation which shows exactly the results that you need, you can use “Share View” to quickly and easily get everyone on the same page.
An example: you’ve just used Atlantis and discovered an unsettled trade with a firm that also uses the Atlantis platform. The trades are pending action from the other firm and the Lock deadline is approaching. To settle the trades as quickly as possible, you write an email to the other firm asking them to please action the trades before the deadline. To make sure there is no confusion regarding to which trades you are referring, you use the “Share View” button to generate a hyperlink that duplicates your Atlantis filters and include it in the email. When the other firm opens the email and clicks the link, they are able to immediately see the pending trades and action them.
How does the Share View button work?
The Share View button generates a hyperlink that can be shared with other Atlantis users. This hyperlink will lead the user to a view of Atlantis that exactly matches the filters and aggregates that were selected by the sharer. The trades viewed using the shared hyperlink are specific to the user permissions.
How do I use the Share View button?
When you have the specific Atlantis search filters you want to share, click “Share View”. This will open a box with the prompt “Who are you sharing this with?” and two options: My Participant and My Counterparty.
My Participant – Use this option when your intention is to share the link with someone within your own organization or with a member of FIA Tech Client Services.
My Counterparty – Use this option when your intention is to share the link externally with the firm on the other side of the trades in question.
Once you have made a selection, click “Create Link”. This will generate a hyperlink.
Be sure to click “Copy to clipboard” once the link is created. Once you have copied the link to your clipboard, it can be pasted in an email as a normal hyperlink.
When the recipient of the link opens it, they will be taken to an Atlantis page (after logging in) that is an exact duplicate of the page you shared. It will appear in a toggle named “Shared View”.
