Overview
The Docs Product Report is a comprehensive list all of the exchanges and products currently available for addition to electronic rate schedules built in Docs or in an eModule format. As of March 22, 2025, the Docs Product Report may be accessed from the Docs UI under the "Products & Rates" dropdown, and selecting "Rules Management". The reason for the change of the page name is to accommodate updates to the Supported Products functionality for enhanced rate schedule creation.
In the UI, users can filter down from Region to Exchange to Product Group to Product Code, etc. The full report can also be exported as an Excel document from the upper right corner and then downloaded from the Reports folder icon at the top of the page.
Product Data
The Docs Product Report contains the following data for each product available in Docs:
- Region: Region of the exchange
- Exchange Code: Docs exchange code
- Product Group: Docs product group
- Product Code: Exchange clearing code
- Product Name: Name of product
- Product Type: Instrument type (future, option, mixed)
- Currency: Default currency as listed on the exchange
The data found in the Docs Product Report also populates in the dropdowns in the in-app Rates Builder. Each section, or filter, can be expand by selecting the arrow tool next to it to filter down to the specific product group or code needed. Any product available in the Docs Product Report will also be available in a newly downloaded eModule when creating a new rate schedule.
Finding Products within the Product Report
Since the Product Report is a file downloaded from the internet, depending on your version of Excel, you may need to 'Enable Editing' and 'Enable Content', through the yellow bar at the top of the page.
The easiest way to navigate the report is to use the filter tool built into Excel. Filters in Excel allow you to easily isolate a subset of the data in order to quickly find what you are looking for. To enable filters in the report, highlight the header row, select 'Sort & Filter' from the top ribbon at the top of the page, and then select 'Filter' (outlined in red below). This will add a drop-down selection to each column header.
To filter by a specific header, click on the down arrow to expand the search menu, and either begin typing into the search field, or deselect the '(Select All)' box and choose the desired options from the list.
For example, to display all dairy products available in Docs on the CME exchange, you may first filter by the Exchange Code 'CME', and then filter down to all dairy products by entering "Dairy" into the search field.
Clearing Filter(s)
To clear your filters, select the column(s) that have the filter icon in the header, and then select 'Clear Filter From "...."" (as shown below).
Requesting Addition of new Products
If you are unable to find a specific product in the Docs, you can request it using the the attached form. Submit your request by emailing the completed form, including a link to the product specs, along with any supplemental documentation to docs.support@fia-tech.com. Products are reviewed for accuracy and updated in batches within Docs. Currently, FIA Tech adds and updates products in Docs on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on introduction details received from the FIA Tech Databank Team and/or individual firm/user requests. We continually add and delist products to keep the data as comprehensive as possible. If using the eModule to create rate schedules, firms will want to download a new eModule to insure that the file they are using always contains the most recent product reference data.
