For all parties using the Docs system on the Accelerate platform, Party Admins are responsible for user account management. This includes: the creation of new users, assigning and updating contact details and permissions for existing user profiles; as well as selecting email notification settings. As of Monday, March 23, 2026, adding new Docs users and permissions, as well as updating permissions for existing users can be done in the User Hub.
Important notes:
- The entitlement process was previously managed in Docs, but has now fully moved to the User Hub.
- Email notification settings will remain in Docs under Users & Parties > Manage Email Settings.
Adding A New User Profile
To add a new user, navigate to User Hub in the upper right corner of Accelerate, and select 'Administration'.
On the Administration page, select the green "Add User" button on the right side.
Make sure the 'User Type' says 'End User'. The only mandatory fields to enter are First Name, Last Name and Email Address, but other information (address, phone/fax, etc.) may be added if needed. The company name may also be listed here, but is not necessary, as the user permissions added in the next step will identify the institution and party or parties the user has access to.
The system will automatically create a User Account Name for the user based on a combination of their first & last names. Please note that the User Account Name may only be changed/edited when first creating the user on this page. Once the account is created, the User Account Name cannot be updated.
Once all details are populated, select the green 'Add User' button on the bottom right.
If user creation is successful, a 'New user added successfully' will pop up on the User Details page.
On the User Details page, you will see that the user is Active, the Security Questions have not been set (as indicated by the x), and the email address has a warning triangle next to it. This indicates that the user has been sent a verification email from userhub.support@fia-tech.com to verify their email address before they are able to access the system.
Note: The verification email will expire in 24 hours, but may be sent again by an Admin, as shown below.
Selecting User Permissions
Under the User Roles section will be the Docs tab. This is where a party Admin may add specific Docs permissions for the user to take specific actions on GUAs.
Listed at the top will be the Institution, which is the overarching umbrella. Then, the party or parties tied to the Institution are listed, as well as the roles each of these parties operate in. The little arrow outlined in blue next to the Institution and Party names shown below allows the section to be expanded or closed. This gives the Admin the ability to assign user permissions at the Institution level, the individual party level, as well as the individual party role level.
Roles can be added by selecting the tick boxes in the columns to the right of the entity names. Any changes or updates must be saved before navigating away from this screen.
- User Permissions define the actions that a Docs User can perform. As mentioned previously, User Permissions may be defined on a party by party basis, or by a specific party role.
- User Permissions may be updated by an Admin at any time.
- The grid below shows what each permission entails.
- Firms are encouraged to have at least two Administrators permissioned at all times so that Admin actions may be completed if a given Admin is not available or has left the firm.
Updating an Existing User
To update an existing user's permissions, navigate to User Hub > Administration > enter the user name or email address in the 'Search user' field and select Search. Follow the steps above to update permissions.
Email Notification Settings
Admins may also set up email notifications for users to be notified when give-up agreements change status, or require action. Docs User Notifications are managed in Docs under Users & Parties > Manage Users > Email Settings. More details may be found in the following article: Managing User Notifications in Docs.
If the user does not intend to receive any system notifications, no email settings are required. These may also be updated at any time by an Admin.
